The Playhouse reserves the right to change fees. Renter will be notified.

Exclusive Week

One-Week Exclusive..... $2350/week

Off Season July - Sep ....$1880/week

Additional performances/previews..... $275/each

​

Exclusive use is a per week rental that begins Monday and ends Sunday by 6pm. Booking opens twelve months from occupancy. Includes use of the theater during operational hours as described in the Facility Use Agreement and up to four performances/previews. Rental also includes use of our lights and sound equipment. Renters provide technical staff subject to approval. The Playhouse may operate a concession at performances.  The Playhouse manager may be on site for performances. Renter will be given notice if rental fees are changed during contracted period. For full details please read our Facility Use Agreement and other policies found on our Document Library page.

Daily Use

Daily rate includes use of the theater during operational hours as described in the Facility Use Agreement and one performance/preview per day.  Performance may include Playhouse operated concession sales. Booking opens three months to occupancy.

Sunday through Thursday...........$600/day
Friday and Saturday.....................$850/day
Additional performances/previews in one day... $275/each

Hourly Use

Hourly use - No Performance, no audience.
 

With work lights........................$50/hour
With set lights/sound................$100/hour

Hourly use booking based on availability; booking no more than 3 months to occupancy

Other Fees and Rates 

Security Deposit........$250

The Security Deposit must accompany the signed Facility Use Agreement to secure your dates at The Playhouse. The Security Deposit will be returned if all conditions of the signed Facility Use Agreement are met and with no additional assessments.  The Playhouse adds performances to the calendar following a signed Agreement and payment of the deposit.

Use of Playhouse Stair Unit

This unit is available with prior approval only and includes acknowledgment of additional policies. To rent this unit set piece, request the application and for approval from The Manager along with your Agreement

Use of Playhouse concession room

This room is kept locked.   This space is available with prior approval only and includes acknowledgement of additional policies. To include this room with your rental, request the application for approval from the Manager along with your Agreement

Galas......... $300 minimum

This fee is assessed to groups who get permission from the Manager to offer or sell a concession of any food and/or drink for their audiences at any performance, including previews.  Rate is per performance and may increase depending on what each group plans to offer. Gala food and drink menu must be approved by Manager in advance. Food and beverages beyond the Lobby are restricted.

Penalties

• Additional hourly assessments
  The user will be assessed double the hourly with work lights rate for unscheduled extra hours incurred, such as a late closing, failure to load out by end of agreement period, etc.

• Cleaning
  A cleaning fee will be assessed if user fails to leave premises in clean condition, as outlined in the strike and cleaning sections of the Facility Use Agreement.

• Damage
  Any damage incurred by the user to the building or any equipment will be charged to the user.

Certificate of Insurance 

A certificate of insurance for a million dollars naming The Playhouse in San Anselmo as “additional insured”  must be provided with first rental payment and prior to the first day of occupancy.
